Learn camera Repair was started by longtime camera repair technician Gene Pate to help others learn to repair photographic equipment. We offer an online camera repair course, service manuals and other publications (many of them free downloads!), repair parts, and a Facebook group of the same name where you can ask questions and post information.

Gene has been a repair tech for more than 40 years. He began repairing cameras in the mid-1970s; and he graduated from the National Camera repair program in 1986. He worked at a repair shop in Cleveland before moving to Focal Point Camera Repair in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1991, he opened Pate's Camera Service in Fort Wayne, which he operated for many years before retiring and moving to Florida.
