Tutorial for Building A Shutter Speed Tester For Leaf Shutters
Tutorial by Max Vettore showing how to build a simple shutter speed tester for leaf shutters. He uses the Seiko #0 shutter used in Bronica Zenzanon lenses in this tutorial, but his tester actually would work for any leaf-shutter camera, not just the Bronica lenses he uses in the tutorial.
Max had a website with a large number of excellent repair tutorials, which we had a link to on our Resources page. Unfortunately, the site has disappeared; so we have put up some of his tutorials here that we had gotten before Max's site went down.
Please Note: In order to keep the site online, we are now asking $3.23 for each file download, except for tutorials written by members of the Learn Camera Repair Facebook Group, which are $1.25. After you complete the checkout process, you can log in to your customer account to download all the manuals you have paid for.
For the first five years that we operated this site, we were able to offer all of these manuals as free downloads. The site has gotten so large and popular that we are exceeding the limits of bandwidth and storage imposed by our web host. Please don't share these files; if we do not bring in enough revenue to pay to keep the site online, we will be forced to shut the site down. We've set the price low eough that it won't burden those who want to learn to repair cameras, while hopefully bringing in enough each month to keep the site open. We are not trying to make a profit from this.
